The program includes multiple concurrent workstreams designed to improve operational efficiency, agility, and resilience.As an Associate Product Manager, Technology Product Management, you will help lead the transformation of American's operational ecosystem by defining business capabilities, shaping future-state processes, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable value to the operation. You'll lead requirements scoping, define the future-state vision, reimagine business processes, contribute to organizational change, and translate operational needs into actionable deliverables. In close partnership with product and technology teams, you'll guide and support the successful execution of a complex, multi-phase transformation.What you'll doThis list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.Conduct product discovery, market research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to inform product directionSynthesize broad company objectives into concrete problems to solve with measurable success metricsCreate and maintain an initiative source of truth document, including overview, stakeholder mapping, workstreams, and milestonesCommunicate updates effectively through verbal, written, and visual storytelling (e.g., slide decks, process maps, and documentation)Facilitate collaboration between product and non-product teams, ensuring alignment across stakeholdersPartner with Technology Procurement to conduct RFIs and RFPsIdentify and recommend investment areas based on research and business goalsTrack and measure the impact of strategic initiatives to support product management teamsProactively identify opportunities for improvement, bringing clarity and structure to ambiguous challengesInfluence strategic direction of the product(s) or cross-product journeyCare for the customer or team member experience, considering upstream and downstream impactsRegularly collect, analyze, and synthesize customer feedback from multiple channelsAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in related field3 years of applicable product management experience (i.e. Product Owner)5 years of equivalent work experiencePreferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job ExperienceMaster’s degree in a related field with 2+ years of work experienceExperience determining Product Market fit and defining a Go-to-Market strategy Demonstrate familiarity with Agile Product Management tools Skills, Licenses, and CertificationsRelevant certifications in Product Management/Product Delivery field Has strong knowledge/expertise of product domain including the business model, constraints, regulations, user experiences, etc.  Recommended Scrum certificationWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
