Contract Recruiter (Onsite)

Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: estimated duration (Start upon completing successful interview process through April 2027)
Employment Type: Temporary / Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Temporary Recruiter to provide onsite recruiting support during a leave of absence coverage period. This role will manage full-cycle recruiting and coordination support for approximately 15–20 open requisitions while partnering closely with hiring managers and the HR team to deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance candidate engagement, recruiting operations, and administrative support. Previous engineering industry experience is helpful but not required. Strong recruiting experience, communication skills, and the ability to quickly learn technical roles are most important.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting Operations

• Conduct phone screens and initial candidate assessments.


• Coordinate candidate movement through the hiring process.


• Schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.


• Send candidate feedback forms and collect evaluation input.


• Compile interview feedback and provide summaries to hiring managers.


• Coordinate candidate communications throughout the recruitment lifecycle.


• Maintain regular communication with hiring managers regarding staffing needs.


• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through sourcing activities.


• Partner with external recruiters and staffing agencies as needed.

Process Support

• Assist with candidate level assessment and compensation recommendations.


• Prepare offer recommendations for leadership approval.


• Extend verbal offers to selected candidates.


• Create total compensation summaries and offer documentation.


• Prepare and distribute offer letters through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).


• Ensure a smooth pre-employment and onboarding experience for new hires.

Reporting & Administrative Support

• Update and maintain headcount tracking reports.


• Maintain sourcing and recruiting activity spreadsheets.


• Prepare internal recruiting update communications.


• Track recruiting metrics and hiring progress.


• Support HR team projects, employee events, and miscellaneous administrative activities as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.


• Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting processes.


• Strong interview scheduling and candidate management skills.


• Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.

Preferred

• Recruiting experience supporting engineering, architecture, technical, or professional services organizations.


• Experience sourcing passive candidates.


• HR administration or generalist experience.


• SHRM, PHR, or recruiting certifications.

Compensation

Estimated hourly pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

The actual compensation will be formulated by the client and may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience.
