Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic Technician – 3rd-Shift (Food Manufacturing)

Industry: Food Manufacturing Shift: Mid-Shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Farmingdale, NY 11735

We’re seeking a hands-on, reliable Industrial Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic Technician to lead and support our mid-shift maintenance operations. Position Summary:
As the Industrial Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic Technician , you will take ownership of the thrid-shift team and ensuring the day-to-day performance of our equipment and facility systems. This role demands strong leadership, a flexible schedule, and solid technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, PLC and utility systems commonly used in food processing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing and troubleshooting a broad range of systems daily including but not limited to: Gearboxes, motors and pumps, high-pressure steam boilers, air compressors and compressed air piping, steam and water systems, three-phase electrical systems, experience with PLC electrical and motor controls, hydraulic systems, general plumbing, heating, and basic refrigeration.

• Skilled in troubleshooting complex mechanical/electrical systems and implementing repairs on an emergency basis.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment and keep detailed maintenance records, ensuring safe operation of equipment.
• Ensure parts and inventory are in conformance with manufacturing engineering standards.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of essential parts and materials to ensure prompt response during emergencies.
• Responsible for supporting continuous improvement efforts, equipment reliability, performance, and optimum efficiency.
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• At least 2+ years of hands-on experience and PLC experience required.
• Previous experience in industrial maintenance mechanics, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and facility systems.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations, GMPs, and OSHA requirements.
• Flexible schedule to meet business needs.
• TIG welding experience, and Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in mechanical engineering or completion of a trade school program preferred
• Strong positive attitude and ability to work and communicate written and verbal effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with email, data entry, and common software applications
