--- --- ---The Manager, Global Payroll is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timeliness while partnering closely with in-country payroll and vendors to drive consistent governance, process alignment and continuous improvement This role requires strong accounting knowledge to support payroll reconciliations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate has deep experience in global payroll processes, understands multi-country regulations, and collaborates closely with finance, HR, and external providers.**Remote work possible within Mountain Time zone. **Key Responsibilities:Global Payroll ManagementOversee the full-cycle international payroll process across multiple regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas)Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with local laws and regulationsCoordinate with global payroll vendors and in-country partnersReview payroll inputs (earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, equity, etc.) for accuracyCompliance & ControlsEnsure payroll compliance with country-specific tax, labor, and statutory requirementsMaintain and enforce internal controls, policies, and proceduresSupport audits (internal and external) related to payroll and SOX complianceStay updated on global payroll legislation changes and implement necessary updatesAccounting & Financial ResponsibilitiesPrepare payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliationsPartner with the accounting team on month-end and year-end close processesAnalyze payroll variances and resolve discrepanciesSupport financial reporting and accruals related to compensation and benefitsLeadership & Team ManagementSupervise and mentor payroll team members (if applicable)Provide training and guidance on systems, processes, and compliance requirementsManage workload distribution and performance expectationsSystems & Process ImprovementMaintain and enhance payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP, Oracle)Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and automationPartner with HRIS and Finance Transformation teams on system integrations and upgradesStakeholder CollaborationServe as primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries for assigned regionsCollaborate with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, and external auditorsSupport global mobility, stock compensation & RSU’s, and expatriate payroll processesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldCPA, CPP, or equivalent certification preferred5–8+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country/international payrollStrong background in accounting, reconciliations, and financial closeExperience working with global payroll vendors and systemsPrior supervisory or team leadership experience preferredTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP GlobalView, SAP)Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, reconciliation analysis)Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Business Central)Understanding of SOX controls and audit requirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience in a multinational corporation or shared services environmentKnowledge of global mobility, expatriate taxation, or equity compensationExperience in payroll transformation or process improvement initiativesWorking ConditionsAbility to coordinate across multiple time zonesEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay:84,000.00 - 105,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive:Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program:YesBenefits:Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
