As a Project Manager in Customer and Operational Excellence, you will advance initiatives that improve processes, maximize internal business solutions, and help transform data into actionable insights. You will:Play a key role in developing long term strategy within Airports. This includes a high level of engagement with internal stakeholders and field operations to deliver initiatives that support our customers and team members worldwide.Enable team members to leverage digital resources and continously improve airport processes allowing every team member to best serve our customers.This role will provide executive level content support, meeting facilitation, airport alignment to company’s goals, providing expertise and resource to support key initiatives, identifying and framing issues, driving decisions, and building project plans and monitoring execution.Apply your creativity and curiosity to rapid problem-solving and building better experiences for AA team members.Synthesize business problems for senior leaders, identify strategic options, define outcomes and gain consensus among leadersRepresent airport operations in planning and implementation of a wide range of projects that lead to better bag performanceCoordinate initiatives within the team and across various departments to ensure efficiency and consistency of execution through the promotion of best practicesEnsure clarity of business requirements from stakeholders to enable proper planning and design of new initiativesParticipate in project meetings, provides strategic and analytical support, and manages project progress, issues, and risksPartner with the larger Airports Excellence organization to ensure consistency and efficient use of resources across the organizationProvides strategic thought leadership in support of airport operationAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training3+ years of professional experience in the airline industryPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperiencePrevious project management experience with ability to lead, organize and prioritize projectsCollaborative with proven ability to work effectively as part of a teamEffective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic considerationAttention to detailStrong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awarenessProven ability to develop strong relationships and work effectively across groupsAbility to build strong consensus and achieve results though otherProven collaboration successes across a wide variety of projectsSkills, Licenses & CertificationsPrevious project management experience with ability to lead, organize and prioritize projectsCollaborative with proven ability to work effectively as part of a teamEffective decision-making based on a combination of data-driven analysis and strategic considerationAttention to detailStrong interpersonal skills including leadership, collaboration, consensus-building, and cultural awarenessProven ability to develop strong relationships and work effectively across groupsAbility to build strong consensus and achieve results though otherProven collaboration successes across a wide variety of projectsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
